Job Description

We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level DevOps Engineer with expertise in Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support monitoring, automation, and analysis of 12 financial trading algorithms (algos). This role requires hands-on experience with Argo CD, Kubernetes, Python, and QuantConnect, as well as the ability to translate manual observations of US stock market trades into automated metrics and alerts. You will collaborate with a global team (including daily syncs at 3:00 PM Japan Time/11:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time) to ensure system reliability, optimize monitoring workflows, and automate post-trade analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time US stock market trades and manually observed patterns, then automate these observations into Prometheus metrics and Grafana dashboards/alerts.
• Develop and refine automated workflows to track positions, risk metrics, and trade outcomes for 12 trading algorithms.
• Create post-trade action reports and time-series analysis pipelines (using Python) for each algo, with a focus on automation.
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure on GCP (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage) using Argo CD for CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads for QuantConnectbased trading systems.
• Design Prometheus alerting rules and Grafana dashboards to visualize algo performance, latency, and risk metrics.
• Ensure alerts are actionable and aligned with business KPIs (e.g., P&L, slippage, execution quality).
• Participate in daily team syncs (3:00 PM Japan Time, recordings available).
• Learn and apply day trading principles to better understand algo behavior and optimize monitoring.
• Document processes and collaborate with developers to improve automation and observability.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with financial market monitoring or algo trading systems.
• Knowledge of time-series analysis and statistical methods for post-trade evaluation.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure or financial compliance standards (e.g., SEC regulations).
• Certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified – Associate Cloud Engineer)
